Strategy Overview

The 2 Moving Average Cross Strategy is a trend-following approach designed to identify potential entry and exit points in the financial markets.

This strategy utilizes two moving averages – a short-term and a long-term.

When the short-term moving average crosses above the long-term, it generates a bullish signal, indicating a potential upward trend.

Conversely, a bearish signal is generated when the short-term moving average crosses below the long-term, signaling a potential downward trend.

This simple yet effective strategy is suitable for traders of all experience levels and can be applied across various financial instruments and timeframes.

Trailing-Stop with PIP

The trailing stop pips feature incorporates three essential parameters: trailing start, trailing stop, and trailing step.

Suppose we set the trailing start at 50 pips, trailing stop at 30 pips, and trailing step at 10 pips as an example.

When a buy trade accumulates a profit of 50 pips (trailing start), the trailing stop mechanism initiates.

Initially, the stop loss (SL) is placed at 30 pips from the current market price (trailing stop).

This effectively sets the SL 20 pips above the buy order open price.

As the trade continues to gain profit, the trailing step of 10 pips dictates that the trailing stop will be adjusted every 10-pip increment in profit.

For instance, if the trade reaches a 60-pip profit, the SL will be dynamically adjusted to 30 pips profit, maintaining a trailing distance of 20 pips.

This process continues, ensuring that the trailing stop adapts to the market conditions, providing a mechanism to secure profits while allowing for potential further gains.

  • Trailing Start Pip: 50
  • Trailing Stop Pip: 30
  • Trailing Step Pip: 10

Trailing-Stop with PIP

Triggers a trailing stop based on ATR.

same as trailing with pip but instead of using fixing distance we use a mobile one based on the ATR multiplier.

  • Trailing Start ATR: 3
  • Trailing Stop ATR: 2
  • Trailing Step ATR: 0.5

Trailing-Stop based on candles

Utilizes candles to set a trailing stop.
